Picture #6

This picture was taken by Denis Darzacq. I like the vibrant colors in this photograph. I am curious about how the photographer got the person floating in the air. This picture uses the rule of thrids very well.

Picture #5

This picture was taken by Saul Leiter. I like how the taxi driver's hand and the front of the picture is blurry. I like the range of different colors in this picture such as the strong use of red and yellow.

Picture #4

This photo was taken by Bruno Barney at an aquarium in South Korea. I like this picture because of the dark tones with a slight light at the top. I also like how the fish are in unison and coral gives great contrast to the light blue background.

Picture #3

This picture was taken by Nikos Economopoulos in 1990. The photo was taken in Maramures, Romania where a dinner was held after a funeral. I like the photograph because it tells a sad story of the death and only spoons have been served. The spoons are placed in a cool diagonal pattern.

Picture #2

This picture was taken by Partick Zachmann in 2004 in a small neighborhood in Seoul, South Korea. I like this picture because of the angle of it; it looks like it was taken from a tall apartment building. This photo uses the thirds very nicely. The white material on the ground is interesting because I'm not sure what it is.

Picture #1

This photo was taken by Stuart Franklin in 1989 during the horriffic events that took place at Tiananmen Square. I like this photograph because it portrays the story of the communist party soldiers fighting against protesters of child labor. I also like different colors that surround it and it uses the thirds very well.
